Was going through my photobucket clearing stuff out and found an old picture from my black hatch. That car had the cleanest interior ever! With a super mint dash, The first SR swap my friends and I ever did like 6 years ago. Wasnt the cleanest job, but we were damn proud lol. Only payed 2500 for a front clip with mint body panels and a jdm hud. All that stuffs looooong gone now.

 

Wahsed my engine down. Thinking I have a sloooooow Valve cover gasket leak. Gotta remember to check back in a month... or two.

trying to figure out the piston ring direction

 

Make sure the gaps on the different rings are as far apart as possible, to prevent blow-by. Where the gaps are, are not so important. What is important is their relative distance from one another.

 

thats the problem im having is the distance

 

cant get much farther than 180 degrees

Keep in mind the relation between the oil control rings, and the compression rings is irrelevant.

 

getting a mental plan of my oil cooler/remote filter elment set up.

the ARC/greddy/Nismo/nice kits are all over $1000. before i put the thermostat in the mix i could have done the whole set up 1/3 of that price.
all this will be done with -10an Black fittings as well as the new black braided line.
