Rings are on EM-68 of the S14SR manual. It's very straight forward. It's also different than what CP and Wiseco recommend. Those guys use a method closer to what ogitrev describes. The orientation relative to front does matter. I wouldn't put a gap 90* to the pin, for example. Most detonation occurs out there under the quench, and just a supposition, but piston rock can't be good for a gap right there.

blew up an s14 airbag at work today.
couldnt think of anything really cool to do with it, and most of my ideas would have just gotten me fired. so i stuck it under a wheel and launched it. whatever.
