But I've heard of people saying oh rb25 is cheap blah blah, fuck no its not. Were like 4k and still don't have everything.
never said it was cheap, but it's cheaper and better than RB20 neo. If someone wants to buy a mystery motor off craigslist that's all them, its not something I would mess with. Who knows what all it's missing too.

i always liked tony angelos sr fc, seems like a close weight to the rotary (i think. not sure)
and fc's do look cool.
Rotaries are extremely light, probably 100+ lbs less than a SR. I'm not big on the SR/FC idea, but then again it would be badass.

Ive had 4 fcs, and the fastest one (street ported TII) still blew 10k miles after a rebuild. I actually just sold a pretty awesome FC ($200 car), that me and my uncle were gonna put a KA in for fun.

Since you are putting a motor that doesn't belong in a S13, doing the swap into a FC would be about the same difference, probably easier, and it would be in a much better designed platform. FC shells are much more rigid, the rear suspension setup is far superior to an S13 and actually built to improve traction, they have 4 piston brakes factory, they look better IMO, engine bay seems to be bigger, interior seems much more like a "race car" since apparently that's what you are building, etc, etc, etc.

I love how everyone brings in the body kit remark, seriously is that all you have? When I DONT EVEN HAVE A BODY KIT? Yes OMG I have had a body kit on a S13 that I don't even own anymore wow. "that is apparently the response to a losing arguement" or whatever Tim said.
I actually had an LT1/T56 into an FC shell, however I could never find a dashboard in black that was in good shape, couple that with the fact that I got it from a guy who decided to play racecar with it and removed all the wiring, except for a flat panel with some gauges bolted in, stuck to the stock crossbar, and I gave up on trying to get a complete uncut wiring harness for it, because I am picky about how my stuff is put together. Along with that the fact that i've wanted an S13 hatch for a long time, just was always too busy playing with F bodys to get one. So I got one, ran around SR for a while, good stuff but not what I wanted, no complaints about the car, just wanted a better drivetrain.

As far as the suspension and brakes go, i've got about $250 into my Z32 brakes, all the way around, not exactly a deciding factor on which car to use, the suspension, at sunshine speedway i've cut 1.9 second 60 foot times on the shitty 215/40/17 nexen or some shit tires that were on it when I got it. Chris has cut 1.6's iirc in his S14, I really doubt i'll be short on traction.

Oh and I dont want a "racecar" looking interior, so that definetly isnt a plus for the FC vs S13 arguement either. My interior will consist of some black reclineables, a kouki cluster, and a couple gauges in an A pillar pod, no silly fabrics, no gauges randomly bolted to the top of the dash, no silly shift knob..

I'm not building a "race car" just a daily driver thats reliable and fast.

I bought a fail shell indeed, but the body was straight, it wasnt what I wanted and finding a non hacked harness isnt exactly that easy, I looked for quite a while, hitting LKQ up every weekend for months on end gets old real fast.

I got rid of what I didnt want, and got what I wanted

To compare, what I didnt want:

The number of people around here who have a brain, and have some actual experience, and dont agree with my swap, consist of you, tim, and maybe one or other two people who either : a. lack the ability to do some research and comprehend the information, or b. Just want to sit in the corner like a child and go "NO I DONT BELIEVE YOU AND IT ISNT SO BECAUSE I SAY SO, LALALALALALALALA"

it's just as hard to find a unhacked S13 shell, probably harder. I thought you were all about not being a fanboy? That car is soooo fanboy! S15 front and super advans are like about as fanboy as it gets.
