how does the chrome flaking off cause a flat tire?

 

If it flakes on the lip of the rim it can slice into the tire. Chrome plating is as sharp as a knife.

 

My chrome plated 18" Work Rezax II always flaked, and caused 2 flat tires. Until I scraped like 90% of the chrome off and then sold them

 

had a real shitty day yesterday and just wasnt up to it. figured it would be cancelled in the rain anyway, but guess not. oh well.

honestly man, i really dont like fast events as i said before, they generally stress me out more than they should because of how theyre run.
im trying to run bmw next weekend, im on the reserve list at least.

try one of the bmw events and see what you think. but im pretty sure youll have more fun.

 

and the wheel corrodes under the plating causing bead leaks.

tranny flush, diff flush, oil change, manifold/vacuum cleaned and new lugs so center caps fit on finally....brakes next weekend.

 

I most likely wont have 500 miles under my belt by next weekend but I'm willing to try the next one. Where can I get more info on these?

Also I was talking to Dan about go up to the next Brooksville FAST event. Even though its not your thing, it would be cool for a bunch of people to all make the trip for the event.

 

Changed the oil, installed turbo timer, and bled the coolant system to try and stabalize temperature issues.

 

Bought a few things for it, Front bumper, sideskirts, and front mount. Now to find some used coils and get off my damn kyb gr-2's and cut tein springs before I rip the bumper off in my driveway.
