The iron knuckles are tied to the KW V3's, not the RPF-1's.

The difference between the iron/z32 uprights and the RPF1/FN01RC is about the same, weight wise. I'd still do the lighter wheels with heavier uprights (as opposed the the way it is now) because while they're both unsprung weight, the wheel is also inertial and affects acceleration.

The wheels are chrome plated according to the guy, so I'm not sure how heavy they are. I need to get more info from the guy and see whats up.

i wouldnt worry about the weight as much as the chrome plating flaking off.
trust me dude, in the long time ive had this job i cant even tell you how many chrome plated wheels have been the cause of a flat tire.

racecar stuff =/= chrome
stick with the fn's, or do something else stay away from the chrome.

True, plus to chrome plate aluminum you either have to zinc plate it first or do some other oddball method which is expensive. I was kinda thinking of doing the trade just to sell the chrome wheels. Because I think I could get a fair amount of money for them and buy the RPF1's I really want.
