Yeah, it is alot of work, but once it is in, along with some other minor modifications, you're good, I think. I know about the engine itself, kinda, but I know close to nothing about installing it. I think the RB26 has around what, 310HP stock? So after the engine is fitted and installed, your work pays off in the form of over 300HP...

i find it funny that people just talk out of there ass on this site.
any rb swap is alot of work, and unless your very good at wiring, welding, and measuring then you're going to pay out of your ass for a shop to do the work.

people always say "rb's can make all kinds of power on stock internals"...
while thats true, i bet 90% of you guys that are saying to do the RB swap would blow that motor up within months, at low HP levels.
tuning is everything, even more so when your putting engines in different cars that what they came with.

LS1 would be the best swap, why? more power, easier to find, parts are cheaper, lighter, stronger, and in the long run would be a cheaper swap.

then i would go 2JZ or 1JZ.

then Built KA-T...

then maybe RB.

SR20's... blah not a fan of them.
ive built many and been around them alot but they never do anything for me.

Im new to the 240 crowd, but I'll put in my 2 cents. I've only owned my car for about 3 months. (Bought the car BONE stock.) I was thinking about going SR, but the cost was close to $5000.00 installed, twice the amount I have invested in my KA-T. I bought used when I can, new when needed. I have about $2500.00 in my set up and very pleased with the performance. Plus its nice when I need a part, I can go to the local auto parts store to pick it up. Check out KA-T.org If you can afford SR then go that way, but I was on a budget and the KA-T was my only way... Sorry for the crappy pic. Its a little blurry..
