Default Should I Do A Kat

I Have Ben Debating To Do A Sr Or A Kat But I Am Poor I Never Have Money So I Think A Kat Would Work Fine But Are They Reliable For Everyday Driving And Drifting On The Weekends I Wouldnt Mind Doing A Rebuild To A Ka Like Rings Bearing Ect.... But Would It Be Worth The Time Like Is There Much Power I Can Open Up With It Or Will It Pop (im Going To Put A Metal Head Gasket On It) But The Bandet Always Blows Head Gaskets And Thats A Well Built Motor

This topic has been talked about time and time again,

but do something that fits your budget its all about how much money you have.. personally SR's are more reliable (my opinion), great for track and DD.

there is more power in the ka.. but to bring it out without runnning the risk of "pop" is very expensive.... if you r broke... put exhaust, intake, remove emissions, and tune your ka.. and u will smoke a stock sr.. for much much less money... get rdy tho.. the sr bandits are going to come and trash wat i just said...lol...

I know you want a turbo car and you have most of my old parts awaiting install. I would say go sr it will be the better choice for what you plan on throwing at it. Also the added bonus is you made your car rhd so the harness just plugs in

a semi modded n/a KA (i/h/e) ~vs~ det SR?

dont think so.. sr hands down.

Now a ka-t ~vs~ det sr? KA would win only cause the ka would have aftermarket turbo and other parts against a stock SR.

ya the sr would be nice becus the rhd would fit the car better when people pop the hood compared to seeing a ka but as far as na ka's funk used to kill sr's and he only had exhaust headers and a tune from my knowlage so ka plus turbo means un stopable till motor pops but idk i think ill try doing a standard rebuild on a ka and doing a low budget turbo kit and run like 10 pounds daily and 12 on days i feal like racing something i think that may be reliable its only like 230, 240 to the wheels

ka-t can be cheap but the cheaper route you take, the more risk you run of frying your motor. the argument used to be that someone could blow their motor and not care because you could always pick up a ka for cheap. but not anymore, everyone wants em, and no one has them. whatever you choose to do, dont your homework and do go the cheap path.
