it takes more boost to make more torque on an SR the torque doesnt seem accurate to me for that boost level

 

I'll try to dig up the dyno chart to confirm. It's been a couple years since I've looked it over...

ill stick with my 3S-GE great engine good car (1991 240sx) and im a 3S master so all i have left on it is transmission/driveshaft fabrication and it will be running soon

 

I've always heard great things about the 3S(GE/GTE) engines. Can you post any pics ?

 

 

You plan on turbocharging it (doesn't look like the 3s-gte to me ,btw did the 3s-gte's have 3s-ge written on the timing belt cover instead of 3s-gte? ). I bet bill would like this one alot

 

it is a 1988 celica gts engine yes a 3SGE n/a im just using it for mock up purposes i have many 3s engines i think i might do it as a 3s ge for a few weeks then put turbo parts on or just put one of my turbo 3sgte engines i have in it but till i get some spare time i will have to wait a little while befor i can finish it and bill loves it

 

Just wondering , how strong the stock 3SGTE stock internals are , i know these are the engines of choice for many JGTC Supra's (Due to less weight over the front axles).They carry a reputation for being extremly reliable at high hp levels is this just a speculation or true?
