its a very strong reliable engine except pistions very minimal detonation will crack ringlands so put good pistions and have bulletproof engine as for power a good set of cams and shimless buckets and it will out perform the sr20det ive seen video of 1200 hp stock block/crank 3sgte on engine dyno

Nissan had this same brainstorm before the 240sx was released...look what they chose. KA24de is probably the most available for parts, and one of the most reliable engines, and gives the 240 an excellent weight ratio. If its an engine with good power, reliability, and doesn't throw off the whole balance of the car...i guess its just up to which one you think is the prettiest.

I call BS on the 1200hp video Stock Block even if it is a Engine Dyno, please share the video.

The 3sGTE motors use the same pistons as a 2JzGTE Supra. As well as sharing many other characteristics with the Supra block.
Basically a 3SGTE motor is a 4 cylinder version of the TT Inline 6.

I had a GT25R on my SR20 about 2-3 years ago aswell Also tuned by Scott.
Except i had a GT25R .86 A/R, Power FC and Injectors, of coruse a Clutch.. Stock Manifolds, stock HG, stock cams. I did on 17/18 psi about 320~RWHP.
That car went 12.4 @ 117....Back in the day. Your right Rasta many people have duplicated this set up.

What is with all the LS1 talk. A few of you on this board make it seem like its an easy swap, like everything just bolt ins. LMAO. I have seen a few LS-1s in FC's. I'm sure it can be done but is it worth the money. LS1's are $$$.
