Default sr20det camshafts, who has what?

who has what cams, and what is your opinion on them.

I have a s14 sr and am considering cams when I start to do upgrade step 1.
I heard I can not use anything more than 256 on intake or else I must delete the NVCS, and that I do not want to do. I saw the Tomei D1 car has 256 intake/ 264 ex is that a good idea in order to keep the NVCS?

I saw a thread a while back about cam camparison, anyone know where that be?
oh and who makes the best valve springs anyway?

Correct me if i'am wrong somebody ... But i thought turbocharged cars like more meaty exhaust camshafts then intake camshafts (something about duration). So i guess a 256intake camshaft and 264 exhaust camshaft isn't a bad idea at all ?

I had HKS 264 step 2 for about a year I loved them made great power great mid range power
Now I have Crower 272 with a 12.5 mm lift very very aggressive lopes like a V8 but I wouldnt reccomend them unless you are true boost whore and dont mind buying a farera valve kit and a HKS lash killer kit both of which are about $500 each

in my opinion for your s14 and you want to keep the NVCS I would buy every part tomei makes for your NVCS and go step 2 264 with the springs and retainers that way you can rev up to 8000rpm but it all depends on what power you want and how you want it to kick in If you want I can show you some dyno sheets on all the different cams I have tried to show you the differences in powerbands but mine is a s13 tho

stage 1? who is everyone?

yea, I really like Tomei. They seem to keep focus on the total tune, not just max hp. I was wondering what cam was the NVCS, I think it was the type R.
I want about 350-400, while retaining the quick responce of the stock setup.
I know that the tomei arms turbos are cash money but the focus of those turbos(b7,b is to retain stock location, quick spool, and good HP. All of those are really high on my list for a turbo.
Yes, I want to do the whole valvetrain as well, so i can rev to 8k.
I have heard that tomei valve springs were not as good as the Greddy(some thread in the past)
Someone please direct me to the NVCS step 2 264 cams.
