Update:
Parts will be ordered Wednesday, along with the block getting a fresh hottank/clean/test to make sure there are no issues with the block. I will be balancing the pistons and checking the rods to make sure everything is perfect. I'll be doing the clearances at the machine shop, since Red's is so kickass. I'll also do the honeing there.
We took all the rods out of the block, at least one more had an awesome chip in it, so I'll have to match them all up, and balance them individually. The block is COVERED in oil and dirt. It's insane.
I also got a nice racing seat from my friend Max, and some spare pistons, so In case this happens again,
I can repair it with some haste. I cant wait to get everything installed and happy again.
It still should be up this weekend. At the latest, I hope.

Update: (does anyone even care?)
Being bored and feeling like I didn't pay my car enough attention, I decided to remove the rear end last night, well almost... The axles wont seem to come off, so after an hour or so, I gave up and was tired of freezing.
Once that is removed, My good buddy max has offered to weld my diff. It's going to suck durring the rain, and durring U-Turns.... but oh well, it'll be my weekend car soon enough. I can deal with it.
Next saturday (jan 2nd) I hope to make it to Sam's for some tuning, and race gas numbers.
Tonight I plan to get the rear end all the way out, and finish the racing seat install, as it still sits too high for my fat ass. Tomorrow I take the block to get tanked and checked, I'll do the honing there with thier hone, and order the rings and brearings. I can't wait. Everything should be here thursday, and installed thursday night. with any luck... It'll be ready for saturday night.
Alberto should be back by then, and he should be ready to hand me my ass with his new setup.

If you got the Fel-Pro real seat kit,
. There's two pieces of metal that are supposed to be wedged in between the two strips of rubber. People on zcar.com said how to do it, but I wasn't able to get it done. Oh well, hopefully it's tight enough. Good luck and use a bunch of sealant.
