Bottom end rebuild...
As long as you have a decent engine lift just leave the trans on and pull it out together. You dont even have to disconnect the driveshaft if you dont want to. Just let it slide out when you pull the engine. o2 eliminator?

Gasket set is about 100 dollars, but I have the top end gaskets, and only a few bottom end ones will need replacing. Such as the oil pan gasket. Most of the usual ones are brand new.
Im still waiting to get out of work and start this... 5pm get here NOW!!!
I have wrote down most of what will need to be done, and I'm planning steps on removeal and install so I wont get so overwhelmed and stressed.
Im also going to try the "hard" break in process. Basicly, it will have 3 days of normal driving, about 20 miles worth. That saturday, I'll change the oil, then I will be taking it out for it's usual 300 mile wromp and see how it fairs against the other cars out and about. Sunday morning, change oil, and hope there's nothing bad in it. Then go about my daily driving.

I also forgot the price of the oil pump, which brings the grand total including lube and plastiguage to 171.40.
Sounds good, a 3"inch downpipe will make a difference compared to that horrible stock one. Everything is looking pretty good with mine, have a few things to hook up and mess with the timing but if all is good she will be out Saturday night.
Give me a ring on the cell if anything Jeff.

Got everything I wanted to accomplished last night. Radiator, batery, fan, shroud, fluids, fuel rail, and hood removed. I didn't do the driveshaft, i'll wait to see if I have to remove it.
Tonight I will try to remove the wireing, harnesses, all the mounts, prop the engine and borrow the lift/stand from my friends. Removal of engine will wait until thursday.
Only having an hour of light after work, kinda sucks, but it allows me to take my time on things, and hopefully stay in the mindset to complete this w/o going ADD on it.
Much thanks goes out to Tripp for the help.
The downpipe would be a nice addition, however I don't think the measurments allow for a very happy bend. It's going to have to be a 3" mandrel 90. I originally planned to have a nice 45 angle. Just have to pickup the 2 90's and the flange. It's still on the back burner, but if I have the funds, and the time. I'll add it. The clutch fan is getting replaced with an electric one. Perhaps some junkyard fan, I don't know yet.

I was looking into doing the electric fans at one time and it looks like the older maximas with the electric fans will work. The length and height seem to be good as I lined it up on my radiator with some burned out ones a friend had. As far as getting some 90 degree bends, you could just buy one or two U-bends and make a downpipe. At some point I would like to go with electric fans.
