they have what 190hp or something like that NA. VVL nice. And you can pick one up for around 1500 a whole lot cheaper than having to build a motor and you still get more power.

and you get the joys of no rwd transmissions bolting up to them

so, custom starter / modified bellhousing situation

for a motor that does , to the wheels, what a KA with intake and exhaust will do.

What a good choice! Lets throw the torque out the windows!

Be realistic, guys.

in order to make a motor that revs to 8000-8500 but with ap owerbgand only from 5500-8500 effective in a car like the 240sx you'd need to get closer ratio transmission and a much higher final drive, something like a 4.5 - 4.7 to make it nice and peppy. that's how the hondas work so well, is with gearing..

a taller first gear with much closer all of the other gears, and a good final..

too much work if you ask me; stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

If you want 200+ hp, go forced induction. If you want NA, go v8.

not everyone is into straight line so v8 is not an option. too much weight.

not really...everyone over exadurates the weight of v8's...your adding maybe 75-150lbs tops to toss in an LT1, which has an iron block...LS1's are a bit lighter then an LT1. itd be like putting on a large turbo, and fmic setup for the most part.

the cast iron is the problem. you dot want that even on the ka cause it still makes it nose heavy.

cant you use a sr20det block with a vvl head? put some high compression pistons in it and you have a strong bottom end. and use a sr20det trany and your set.
