I just want a well balanced fun car, and I think for the money, That CA will give me ample enjoyment.

I think that most of the people that are doing SR swaps want to build it to 400hp or so (which it is well capable of). Nothing wrong with that at all - power is good! But if your goals are not high hp, then the CA is also a great engine - but still capable of over 300hp easily.

Overall - both are great engines. Remember, its all for the good time you have driving. It just depends on what you're looking for. "To each his own."

 

wouldn't you think nissan would sell the one they thought was better in their own country?
from the birth of the sr, the s-chassis' got them in japan and australia, and prolly other asian markets. europe prolly got the ca due to marketing reasons.
btw, why is the mini-zilla sr20det powered instead of ca18det?

I still dont care about better....... I like my car, I like the CA. I just want a fun car. CA's have ample power and great reving capibalites. Plus its a nice engine for 1000 dollars for the clip.... Gotta love the smoestic hooking up the import. It's like a love fest.

Not to get off subject, but guys the clip is already bought. I got a good deal on it. The Ca is more than suffecent for my weekned warrior drift exploits and...... who cares.

THE SR WAS NOT BUILT IN NISSAN FACTORY UNTIL BLACKTOP DAYS IT WAS BUILT IN UNISIA HITACHI FACTORY
