you need to put money into a "crankwalk" savings plan....lol thats what i did...but my motor never walked , but i still went 6 bolt...for different then yours...Listen if you wanna go 6 bolt to have that "sense of security" then go ahead....don't listen to what anyone else says...sure take their advice if you want, but ultimately it's up to you....sure you could make 400hp on ur 7 bolt...but then again you could of sold that longblock and got yourself what you wanted...and save a little money in that aspect. But dont forget, if your driving a modified car....sooner or later somethings going to happen

 

No doubt man. I had a built civic that didnt have as much problems as the eclipse but still had problems. To me I just think its pointless to put money into my motor with all the miles it has.

i think before u do anything u need to set a horsepower goal and start from there. btw i think afc will only be good with up to 650cc.

get the setup to make 450whp put in on the stock motor and go beat the living hell out of it, when it gives up build the motor.

last i checked my 6 bolt 2g has been running strong for over a year now. just a few tranny problems lol.

 

my 7bolt hasnt walked yet.
