Default tranny

how much is it to rebuild tranny and if its rebuilt will it last long or does it have the potential of screwing up like the first tranny

price depends on mechanic, labor. etc etc... a tranny always has the potential to break down. If you are serious about getting a price, pm Lancerman, best around and he's local

+1 on lancerman. i think he already has a GST tranny ready to go for like $900. its been fully rebuilt and has 0 miles on the rebuild. if you give him your tranny as a core, depending on how bad it is, he will give between $75-$150 for it. he usually doesnt check TR that much, so if interested, just pm me and ill give him the message.

lancerman is a good guy...fair price. he has my awd tranny right now...

Oh, and as far as how long the re-build will last depends on a numbner of factors, most importantly the person who does it. it should last you 100,000 miles if you throw in some easy highway miles and not all city miles...
