Find a transmission and let me know when you get it and I'll make a phone call to my people in Virginia... There's a place up there called Woodfins that sold me the 5 speed parts ( Shift linkages and shifter assembly, pedal assembly, lines, master cyl., slave cyl., 5 speed console with shift boot, and various other needed parts) needed for the conversion, for like $250... Basically, you need to find a tranny, flywheel, clutch kit, flywheel and clutch bolts, and buy that conversion kit, and labor will run roughly $800..... (give or take)...

Hope that helps....

It's a 92 SI, the car has pretty high miles, but i really want a 5 spd. I would like a new or rebuilt, which ever is better for the money, but keep in mind ya'll, i'm poor. I need estimated costs on how much it would be. I might be interested in a motor swap too.

I'm guessing you have f22 or h23.. save up, purchase a jdm h22 swap w/5-speed, tell them you need the shift linkage and I can supply the other parts needed or you can purchase a front clip and use those parts...

sweet deal. I'm sure i'm going to want the 5 spd tranny, but it'll probably be another month or so. As far as the motor goes, it has an H23 in it, but it's got high miles, so i think i'm gonna wanna swap it....besides, i could Always use more power!
