I've always done it by the vfaq method, so far it's worked out with no jumped belts and no bent valves. I use the method the author uses, not the actual pin/hole method. The VFAQ method uses a drill bit or allen key to measure the clearance between part of the tensioner arm and the body of the tensioner, it seemed easier than the official method to me.

That would be cool to have another dsm out there let see we could probably meet up at jerry cause I think jerry is going with me to tune it that day

picking up the vales tomorrow , the 4 layer metal head gasket, the timing belt, oil, and coolant she is going to be runing by the weekend hopefuly if none off my vale seats are not cracked wish me luck i will be working on it today tomorrow, thurs, and fri

just came from jerrys house today after work my brother put the valves in and put it back together now all i have to do is the wiring and put it back together the car and start it up it is going to be out this weekend for sure
