Well that would deffinitely be a problem. This goes back to making sure all your maintenance is kept up first. Your car needs to run top knotch stock before it will ever run good modded. If you have a lifter pulling a bunch of timing you will see very minimal boost and the car will run like ass.
This is what i mean you need someone to look at the car in person. I would but i live in Bradenton. I wasnt trying to be a wise ass in my post. You really need to have some one who knows what they are doing look at your car in person.


Back to the mas debate: Let it be known i am not saying a 2g mas is bad i just dont see the reason to buy something that isnt going to make the car faster than what is already there, and a 2g mas will not make a 1g faster.I know of people who have fast 1g`s with a 2g mas but it is more of a novelty mod to me than a upgrade.

Tom.. i dont care how fast your car went.. you know why? because you are comparing apples to oranges. on a FULL WEIGHT awd, Sidemount, stock turbo, Pump gas, 1G mas, 450's, NO fuel control, All-season tires, Shot 2nd gear synchros... we still managed a 13.8 @100 mph and 1.8 60' times... for as little shit as the car had done and what was wrong with it and lack of decent rubber AND a fucking girl driving the car... its not bad at all. if we had put a Piece of shit 17c on the car, it would have moved like anything else... but the turbo was the last thing on my mind. My main goal was to make the car WORK like it should and take care of all the broken stuff, hence a New clutch, fidanza flywheel, John Shepherd Tranny, 4-bolt rear end, 3rd Gen Lifters, 23-spline Tcase, New brakes, New Axles, and so on and so on... So Please fuck off with your arrogant 'you cant touch me' attitude.

This was along time ago. And my car was also a full weight awd with the original 205/55/16 Goodyear GT+4`s (worst tires ever made) I was talking about my first 12sec pass which happened to be on a 17c that i got from jerry to experiment with. It was only on my car for 2 months. You know nothing about my car and can only wish you had one as nice.

You dont know me at all. I will help almost anyone that i think is serious. But trying to dianosis stuff like this over the internet is near impossible. You want my help i need to see the car.

I wont waste my time to much with this. You need to go back and reread all the posts and you will have the answers to your questions.

im sure it was a long time ago, and i know im not well acquainted with you... and it goes both ways. you dont know who the fuck i am either, so you have no room to make assessments like "oh, youre a retard and dont know what the fuck youre talkin about"... so just save it, Ok. Agree to Disagree.

And, i dont wish i had one as nice, cuz i hate Gold and Champagne colored cars.

btw, Bridgestone RE92's suck very much... i dont think ive been on GT+4's... but RE92's dont stick at all... and they are original equipment on Subaru's... if AWD doesnt make them stick... NOTHING will.

btw, you can take a wild blinding stab in the dark just by hearing someones description... you may not be 100% right, but its a good place to start. the idea with asking for help on the internet is to learn from OTHER's mistakes and experience. if someone has had a similar problem, they may offere up some valuable advice or experience as to what the problem was and what they did to fix it. alot of the time, it just takes a fresh perspective to take a new approach to trouble shooting.

if he follows the advice given to him and still doesnt do anything and hes at his wit's end... then its time to have an Expert inspect the car. but "expert" is subjective and may not be so easy to find said person to come and look at the car or take it to them.

EDIT; the "debate" wasnt friendly, there werent enough smilies in your posts to connotate a "friendly" debate. from the reponses you made to the thread starter, it wasnt friendly. any debate you have about a topic unrelated to the thread should not be pursued in said thread. you do come off too uptight sometimes...other times it is well-founded and justified and i normally agree on your point of view... just not this time. i see that you and 4drwhore were discussing the AFM's, and essentially hijacking the thread... and then basically told the thread starter to piss off when he tried to get it back on topic...

With DSM's it's always friendly. Atleast with me and TripleG as so it seems.

He didn't tell the thread starter to piss off but that trying to diagnose the problems he was having by asking questions of the internet was like trying to fit a horse through a garden hose. Pretty much pointless and impossible.

No Mas > than 1G MAS of any variation.

for plug-and-play, the 550's+2G mas cannot be beaten. i dont care how old school you are or how fast Joe-schmoe has gone on a hacked 1G... a hacked 1G is still crude and uncouth... shit, i know a guy that runs in faster than alot of DSM's on a VW Rabbit FWD w/ an 8v motor w/ a T3/T4, weld el manifold, stock mechanical injection and HObb's switched-additional injectors... that dont make it the next best thing since sliced bread and im not about to do what hes doing cuz its "Proven".

Ruben; im pointing the finger at the O2 sensor for the excessie richness under 4k and part throttle/idle. as far as the miss, im going to blame the untuned 550's which are probably loading up the cylinders at low speeds which clears up as the air flow increases (higher RPM/boost). the excessive knock could just be due to a bad batch of gas or something, cuz thats been known to happen... besides that, its a DSM; itll run great one day and like ass the next day. Kelly's car was notorious for that. the spark plugs could also be too hot of a heat range. they did look unusually clean in the center but still had carbon on the outer rim.

Im sorry you confuse the facts there... no, I didnt say his car was slow, and I did say it was ugly.

You know what fucker...if I wanted to, then I would be...Im running stock boost on my car and it pulls pretty good. I have not yet even put my bottle on it or turned up the boost... let alone an AFC so suck a DICK and get off my NUTZ!
