Default Rough idle..7psi... runs like crap...

I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out.

Symptoms:

Rough idle 9-1500k
idle speed (low throttle) sputters
Full throttle 7psi (WTF)

What I have done so far:
Checked for boost leak
Checked for any leaks
Checked spark plugs (black on the bottom, white on the top???)
Checked wires
Checked timing
Checked ECU
Checked ISC
Checked fuses underhood-on battery
Checked blocked off EGR
put datalogger on it
gave a funny O2 reading... put in another o2... gave a different reading but still ran like shit.

Put a different coil pack on it....

ARRRRRRGH! WTF.... Where is Jerry when you need him?

Try another MAF? Any smoke? Back in the day I broke the shaft on my 14b and the turbo tried to eat the nut that holds it on. Boost was low and idle was bad becuase air couldn't flow into the turbo and into the motor. Is the turbo in good shape?

Ruben has
550cc's
2g mas
super 16g

And I think thats about it. The car runs pretty rich most of the time. Nothing to tune it with so far, but hasn't given problems up till now.

It has to be something silly he's missing

Maybe we should take a timing light to your car just to make sure. maybe someone axidently moved the cam angle sensor????
Did your try another o2?

Gee maybe the fact that you have a mas that flows 20% air over a 1g mas and then your running injectors that are 100cc bigger then stock injectors and a turbo that flows more then a stock turbo. And nothing to compensate or make the right changes that need to be made. Buy a safc dumb dumb.

yeah, afc is a must with the injectors and 2g mas.

But why would the car just randomly start mis-firing after say 2-3 months? That’s why I’m lead to believe it’s not due to improper tuning.

With the 2g mas unplugged the car hardly runs any differently. The idle just goes up slightly. And he said he swapped it out with a 1g mas. But since 1g mas with 550cc's alone would make it run like shit that would be hard to eliminate that problem using just a 1g mas. Maybe try stock 450cc’s 1g mas and see where it goes from there.

And are you 100% positive you are not burnning coolant? the car was alittle smokey a compression test will rule out anything like that.

A cluster fuck of parts might work for a little bit, but eventually it will take it's toll. Take everything off and put it back to stock intill you can put the right parts on your car to do the right mods. Otherwise your always gonna just be fucking yourself. People who don't do things the right way are asking to have their car fuck up on them.

Ruben I do think your best bet is going to be putting the stock items back on the car. It will not take long and then you can go from there. Or you can borrow/or buy my afc since I'm not using it and see what happens with a properly tuned car. Either way I don't think you should take it to some mechanic to work on it. He will not have any better answers than what we have all ready come up with.

Take that 2g mas off and get rid of it. Then put a 1g mas on and you can tune the car with the mas. With 550`s and a 16g you really dont need a AFC yet. Dont over complicate it.

i still like the 2g mas......but the 1g hacked correctly i guess is good.

if he all ready has a datalogger I think an afc would help out greatly with bigger injectors
