ive been thinking about upgrading my 14 to a big16g but ive heard mixed opinions. is this going to make a big difference and what is a safe boost level of a big16g with a fmic? is it worth the upgrade or should i get other performance parts instead? so far ive got
intake,dp,exhaust,8.5mmwires,mbc,14b,turboxs bov,short shifter

 

Spend the money support mods you still have a long way to go.

 

you and your car aren't ready for it. your car needs fuel upgrades. a walbro 255 and 550 injectors at a minimum.

it's not hard. follow the formula

 

if you really want to make it run right, you need something to control your fuel uprades with too. data logger w/ a safc or an EMS

 

don't convert your your 14b to a 16g, it's not worth it, with the cost of a rebuild, 16g wheel and balance it's not worth the trouble, not to mention you would be sportin a 6cm housing which sucks. if you're going to upgrade get an evo 16g atleast. you don't wanna take baby steps with turbos like going from a 14b just to a 16g unless u get a small 16g for crazy cheap or something. this is just in my opinion, also i read jerry saying the rebuilt turbos tent to fail often. also fuel management is key. and RECIRCULATE you BOV!!! lol jfwy

 

sell the chromes asap.

 

im not converting id be upgrading. getting a big16g not making my 14b into one. and the 255 and 550's are in the plans with the big16g not or the b16g. the fmic would have to wait alittle longer though. so i guess what im asking is 14b,fmic,walbro255,550's, gm translator or big 16g,255,550's,gm treanslator,NO fmic?

 

save the money on the translator and scrape some more for an fmic... your 2g maf is plenty for what you need. imo there's no point in 550s and a 255 if you're running the stock smic. it's tiny as hell. atleast go with a supra sidemount.
