I went 12.6 with a completely stock intercooler setup. Even the stock 1g elbow. You dont need a FMIC to run 12`s but it will make it easier. If you are going to get a front mount do your self a favor and save your money for a good one. It will be cheaper in the long run.

thanks. ive got a 1g intake mani and im trying to find a 1g tb. i just bought a set of 650 injectors and im getting my walbro 255 from dstgst on his group buy. so a afpr and something to tune with is next on the list.

bro, no shame in starting somewhere. you're asking the right questions...clearly even questions that dsm enthusiasts disagree on. you could benefit from using the search feature on some of these websites, but other than that, you're doing okay. with 650s you def. can take advantage of at least a big 16g. i'd be looking for a good used evo 16 if i was you. in my opinion, you won't need an afpr to get 12s, but something to tune with is a must (safc, dsmlink, etc).

im probably going with a big 16g. i wanted 550's but these are brand new in the box and i got a killer deal. so i dont need an afpr? i hope not because the install looked like a pain but i thought with the walbro and 650's i needed one.

EVOIII 16 G is only about $30 more than the Big 16G. That's about a tank of gas.
