Yeah, I hate to see an rx7 destroyed like that but in a way I already figured it as a discrase.

Yep, that corvette was also mid engine. It seems that GM never went through with production becuase they couldn't get it to the emission standards of that day.

I don't know the person who owned that FC, I just have that pic on my computer from a long time ago.

All I know is that the guy had his fuel lines too close to his v8 header!

You are an idiot. Have you ever done any reading on the LS1 conversion? Apparently not. The LS1 is an aluminum block motor. When all of the rotary-specific stuff is removed from an FD and the LS1 is put in its place, the weight is virtually identical as is the weight distribution. Please stop spewing your ignorance all over this thread and do us all a favor.

So, I just addressed your weight argument. What's next?

I love these swaps. It combines the excellent LS1 V8 with a lightweight chassis that can handle beautifully. My next project car will probably be an FC V8 swap.

Does anybody local have a swapped RX-7, 2nd gen or 3rd gen? I'd like to take a ride in one, check it out, chat about the swap.
