Check your grounds, and make sure you didn't mix up the tps plug with the map sensor?

Do those sensors have the same plugs?

I know the ground by the tranny is there, and the ground strap on the valve cover.

Yeah, they do.

That tranny ground is very important, make sure its not corroded and clean it and the chassis if you have to. This ground has gave me serious problems before.

Also check the ground on the thermostat, That thing grounds the ECU.

As stated above, check grounds for sure.

Also, if the tach was working, and isn't anymore, that is ran to the distributer, check the dist. cap, rotor, etc. Could be a coil aswell.

Ton's of things it could be, also take the vtec solenoid apart and clean the screen out, if the oil builds up in there and can't get through like it use to, it will cause problems.

And if all else fails, I like blue Si's, so PM me a price. HAHA

The solenoid has been cleaned.

I'm sure the map/tps is correct but I will double check. It was doing this before I tore it all down as well, just woulnt run, where as now it clears out and runs.

The factory tach works, the aftermarket one shows movement while cranking and nothing while running.

Can I temporarily ground the it with thick amp wire? Like a wire from the head to the battery just to test?

Also no check engine light. Would autozone be able to pull the code?

if you want to know if the CEL works its easy dude, when you turn the key to ACC power you should see it light up, and then if it checks out fine the light turns right off. Check it out.
