Main Relay? what does it do when u turn the key to crank it?

 

It clicks like it's supposed to..

Once when you turn the key to the on position, then twice when you go to start it..

 

when you turn the key to the on position, both wires going to the injectors should be 12+, when you crank, one remains 12+ and the other should pulse ground

 

Ok cool, I'm going to check that when I get home from work... Also, the "ICM" that the box on the pass side against the firewall right? I don't have one of them...and being that I swapped out the Y7 manifold for the Y8 I need to have one right?

One more thing that happened to, I used my buddies battery yesterday to start mine and the ground from the chassie to the transmission fried the coating around the wire, wth caused that?

Icm is in the distributor......you getting any codes?

 

Oh!!!...yeah, the icm..(brain fart)...I changed it out with another to see if that was the case....I'll change it back to see...

 

also, you said you chnanged the intake mani...make sure the ground at the t stat housing is tight.....

 

Yeah, I put the Y8 I.M. on, I checked the T-Stat ground, it Tight...



How about the Chassis to Tranny ground FIRED when I went to crank it the other day, any ideas on that?

 

If you have spark just shoot some carb cleaner in the intake, if it pops off you have a fuel issue, it is pretty simple, if it fires off when you do that shared_pm me and ill take you step by step to get ya on the road!
