Knock back 4 degrees of timing (will be running around 12-13 degrees at idle), up FPR to roughly 50lbs.

That should do it so long as your really running a 55 shot pill.

BUT, what alpha said is the real way to do it.

Sounds like too much timing to me . Have you checked the Base timing at idle ?

yes, im running 50 lbs of fuel pressure at idle, ive retarded the timing 4 degrees, had a friend help me because i couldnt adjust the distributor and look at the same time, maybe he was doing it incorrectly. anyone know someone who tunes for a good price?
also have a chipped ecu from john vega, i have heard you shouldnt run n2o with chipped ecu's because of more aggressive timing, this maybe my problem i suppose

Chipped ECU or not, has no effect on timing, that's in the tune.

I'd help you get it running right but you would have to come to me.

Go to the autoparts store and grab 2 step colder plugs, pull timing at idle to 12 degrees (you do NOT need 2 people to do this), you already have fuel pressure set to 50, when you ordered the ecu...vega usually does a basemap on them. He probably increased timing in upper RPMs for more all motor power because I doubt you told him you were going to run nitrous.

Throw in a stock ECU for now. Do what I told you with a stock ecu in the car and then get back to us.

I know, I was mainly referring to the fact that he stated "i have heard you shouldnt run n2o with chipped ecu's because of more aggressive timing"
