^^^ doing that today. lost all my fluid 2 days ago for no reason, i walked to my car (sitting at a friends apartment) and when i took off noticed that it only engaged when the pedal was all the way to the floor and it would pop if i released it to quickly. i lazily re-bleed it yesterday just so i could drive it (plus i have the flu, so i wasn't thinking straight) and now it engages all they way at the top >:/ so i'm going to do it right today.

Sounds like the flywheel and or pressure plate have heat spots.

Or that

All I know is when I put my clutch in I had my flywheel and pressure plate resurfaced and I had almost 0 chatter. Now, my flywheel and pressure plate are covered in heat spots and clutch chatters terrible.

yea sounds like bad clutch/pressure plate

Youre not gonna know until you take it apart. If your clutch is not engaging correctly because of leaking/air in hydraulic lines you will eventually have to fix/replace the clutch/tranny

You can get a clutch disc for cheap, but thats only if he wants the disc. I got my ClutchNet 4 puck for like $110. Im sure BayCity clutch has something he can use.

I dont think soemthing is wrong like functional, I think they have hot spots. Thats just my opinion

However, a friend with a 240 has been having this problem, so we pulled the tranny and his flywheel bolts were coming out and were finger loose

Yea, i would be afraid of that...but i've taken at least 6 trips from tampa to gainesville and back, and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. Same noise as when i got it.
