I also have NO idea.... The guy I got it from was a ricer that didn't know anything about his car and i've been de-ricing her. He said it was a new clutch but when i mentioned "puck" he was like DURRRR...so yea, i have to crack the case to see it, it's not a cable tranny so i can't see inside from the bay

Actually like i said, symptoms of a bad TOB are noise when clutch pedal is released , and noise GOES AWAY when clutch pedal is pressed in . I'm POSITIVE of this.

Ya, but he had a shop install the clutch
ALL he did was put big nasty 17" wheels on, lower it on its balls, and put HALO headlights in..... That's all gone now!

^ If it was me I would just pull the tranny and inspect and replace any and all parts you can afford to. I dont see the problem going away and it might not have gotten worse but I think in the future it will.

hmmmm... watched some videos and looks like "clutch chatter" is when the clutch makes noise even at idle...wtf

oooo shit, you know what.... I have an idea.... No one ever thought of the slave cylinder! I bet that's what it is! It's not letting the clutch fully engage fast enough, this might explain why I feel like the clutch pedal is REALLY soft. It can be depressed VERY easily.... Maybe it just needs to be bled?? hmmm what you all think?...damn its late
