recently i took apart my motor and ever since then my timing has been weird. i wanted to get my timing retarded a bit(like 10-12 degrees) but i couldnt do it because my distributer was maxed out at 15 with the intake cam retarded 2 degrees. so instead i had to retard my intake cam gear to like 4.5-5 degrees just to get 11 degrees at the crank. i dont want to have to shave my distributer but why cant i get my timing low. i mean if i just put my cam gears at 0 and put the distributer in the middle my timing should be about 16-17 degrees right. i already checked the belt and timing and had other people look at it and it is in time. please help.
