oil pressure gauge

my oil pressure gauge is reading real low all of a sudden. i checked the line and there are no leaks. gauge doesnt read past 25psi when wot. could this be my oil pump? seems as if there is no pressure going to the gauge. any help would be appreciated. thanks

Well Id check the line to the block and the line to the gauge/sender and make absolutely sure there are no leaks. If youve got an electric gauge you might want to check the sender as they tend to fail a lot with engine vibration. Check for proper connection and with the car on wiggle it around to see if you can simulate the drop. If its a mechanical gauge youve got a nasty leak somewhere...

i dont know if it would work but if its mechanical make sure there is nothing in the line causing a clot. i know the nylon tubing that runs to the gauge on mechanical ones is small but it could be something really small in the oil. might wanna pull the line and blow it out (with air not your mouth). its alot of work tho. HTH
