I don't see the word honda anywhere on that link. You can't compare a cadillac with a honda.

 

i dont care what that site says, that site is not model specific...not only that but there are ads for GM stuff all over the site, and even that pic looks like a sensor from a chevy. did you look at the wireing diagram? that should be all the info you need. also there is no need for name calling, especially when your info is wrong, it doesnt make you look good.

In this diagram it is number 13. So there is my diagram. And If you read what is in the link it says what I was trying to say. I didnt put the link up to show that that was the exact part or that it was for a honda. But his car has one and its in this diagram, now if you read what the coolant temp. sensor does you will understand what my point is!!

 

^that is a single cam diagram. The ONLY SENSOR that turns the fan on is the fan coolant temp switch on the thermo housing. The other two temp sensors are for the gauge and high idle(ECU sensor) GIVE UP, YOUR WRONG!!!!!

i do understand and your point is wrong....we all know he as a temp sensor, but it doesnt have anything to do with the fan. what i was saying about that being a GM sensor was just to point out that the site is prolly run by people that drive GM, so their info is prolly GM specific. and that you shouldnt take everything they say as if it pertains to every car. they should have worded it differantly so that it said "on some models....." or somthing, that way they wouldnt spread false info to people like you that spread it even further to the people reading this. since i have proof, maybe you should just believe the proof and stop spreading info that doesnt have proof to back it up. if you even looked at the wireing diagram, that by they way was from the OEM honda manual for his car.

 

yeah all that shows is that he has a coolant temp sensor, which has not been disputed.

 

Now I understand why most of the areas reputable techs have stopped posting here.
It's like fighting a losing battle.

 

thats exactly why i still do, i hate when people spread false info. it adds to the dumbing of the species... kinda like the drama shows on MTV.
