Default Cooling fan doesn't run HELP!!!

I have a 95 civic and the cooling fan doesn't run. I checked the fuse and its good, swapped the heater motor relay (which is the same) and it still didn't work, so I ran it directly to the battery and it ran fine so I know the fan motor is good. What could it be. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

fan switch?
the rad fan always has power.
its switched on by the switch at the thermostat housing that causes it to ground when open.

are you sure your cars warmed up?

^^^ exactly what he said. Jump the plug with a wire or paper clip. If the fan comes on then the switch is bad.

Thnx for the info. So today I jumped the plug and the fan turned on so I replaced the fan switch and the fan still didn't turn on and the temp went up 3/4 up. Could it be the thermostat itself that's bad or what could it be.

Thanks

Your fan has nothing to do with your thermostat.
Your issue could be your fan fuse, circuit or fan motor etc.
Start by jumping the fan switch plug & testing for voltage & ground.

mtber is right check the fuses first
Remember a fuse can be busted even without looking blown(the little metal connectors inside it look ok not broken) So I would try switching that out with one that you know works.

I did check the fuse under the hood and I already jumped the fan switch plug and the fan turned on so I know the relay is good and the fan motor is good. I also replaced the fan switch and still didn't turn on. So what else could it be.

Thanks for the help.
