what will it take to run at least 12's in the 1/4?
How much is it for the auto to manual swap? I would like to have it as an everyday driver if I can. Short shifts and not hitting much boost it will still get good gas milage and what not. I really dont know what B18 to go with. VTEC and boost looks crazy lol I would like to have VTEC so B18C dont know whether to get 1 or 5. Actualy thinking about it now a low 13 second car is pretty quick. I see an srt4 complely stock runs a 13.9. If I can beat that I would be satisfied. They have what 230HP and 260ft lbs? So I need to figure out how much HP is needed to run a low 13 or high 12. they are a 2.4L turbo 15PSI making 230HP and 260ft lbs thats kinda sad. WRX and EVO are 2.4 or 2.5L turbo making 300HP. B18 is 1.8 correct?
short, simple, i like it. So who thinks 15PSI would be enough to push me to 300HP? I am guessing since I saw a 256HP D16 with 16PSI 9:1 compression pistons. And the B18 is 0.2L bigger. I wonder if the stock SRT4 turbo will fit. That will boost up to 15PSI stock and with a stage 1 kit I think they get them up to 17PSI and stage 2 like 20PSI. Obviously your not getting a bigger turbo with the different stages I think just new BOV and stuff. I figure find a turbo of a car thats turbo from the factory and try and use that, it should be much cheaper.
OR if you have the funds, drop a k-series in (RSX engine) and youll be running 12's in a civic on a stock engine give or take a good driver. Im surprised that hasnt been suggested yet! If you go B18, youll have a hard time getting a B18C5 (type r) just cause there rare and ive heard that they dont particularly like boost too well with the compression...go with a GSR if you want the VTEC or an LS (no vtec) for boost. or even a B16 (handles boost better from what ive seen/heard) Do some research....Honda-tech.com has alot of useful info and good write-ups on stuff like this and can prob give you some good info in regards to what you will get from TR

stock turbos are small and dinky IMO! And you compared a D16 to a B18....BIGGG difference my friend. A D16 is a single cam while the B18 is a dual cam. No comparison IMO. I dont know too much about boost so ill shut up now!
