Have you been tuned on eCtune by Alpha or Brotherz Racing, Tampa, FL? - Check in here
I'm just trying to ask an intelligent question. I consider both John's to be friends of mine. Everyone is so heated and polarized in their posts the wrong questions are being asked. It would have been nice if this was handled differently although I'm not sure how that could have been. I think this should be locked already, what is said has been said and if any customers feel they were mistreated then they have an email to reply to. This should only be opened up if Calvin himself is ready to post or when Alpha returns and wants to make another statement.

The major issue is claiming to be an authorized tuner for eCtune & tuning cars on alternate softwares such as crome instead & possibly misleading innocent people.
I'm just trying to ask an intelligent question. I consider both John's to be friends of mine. Everyone is so heated and polarized in their posts the wrong questions are being asked. If Calvin ever gets around to getting online & has time to post the information which he would like to post so be it in another thread.

My name is Calvin Baank. As you should know by now I am the owner & creator of eCtune
which is a honda/acura engine computer tuning software. (http://www.ectune.com)
The situation posted by John Vega (mtber) has been going on for a while. I asked John Vega to make a post concerning the issue as I did not have internet access.
I can prove many the accusations with email logs which I am keeping for my lawyer and authorities.
Yes i'm pissed. Yes, I kept out this thread of for a while. For the fact that I travel a lot and didn't have internet. (Only a pda phone).
I gave Alpha the option to work this out. I asked him for a list of call cars he or brotherzracing did on eCtune & a list of the cars/customers which
were falsely tuned on eCtune (tuned on crome but the customer thought they were tuned on eCtune).
Alpha never produced that list within a reasonable amount of time which has lead me to bring the problem into the public eye.
While this whole thing was going and Alpha crying that he didn't do anything wrong to me while he contacted Moates for support and stating that he is using eCtune (recently).
Alpha: So to me you cry and that same day you say that you are using eCtune?
Anyhow, if somebody is tuned by Alpha or Brotherzracing on eCtune. Please contact me per the original instructions in the thread.
I have built detection methods for eCtune customers to know if it's eCtune that is running their ecu.
Instructions:
If you key on and you see 3 short flashes after the normal Key on mil light up, you know u have been tuned with a PRO(single car) version of eCtune.
If anybody has that.. I'll refund that user the eCtune license fee they were charged. I'll get the User ID and show who did that...
If you have been tuned by John aka "Alpha" or Brotherz Racing on eCtune:
Please email Calvin from eCtune at calvin( at )eCtune.com with the following information: (replace at with @)
Full Name:
Phone Number:
Email Address:
Aproximate Date You were tuned:
Amount charged for eCtune license:
Total amount charged for tuning:
Did you check your check engine light to see if you are on a newer build of eCtune?:
How many times did the check engine light flash?:
Thank You,
Calvin Baank - eCtune Creator

Hey Craig, I got the hardware. Thanks. Couple issues. My software is detecting the Ostrich but not the Hulog. It's NOT sending the edited code to the ecu through the Ostrich. I get a solid cel, ecu. I tried a friend's Ostrich v2 and Hulog. Works no problem. I'm using eCtune to edit
Thanks Craig

So who is really the liar here?

Calvin,
John Vega contacted me about an inquiry you had into my tuning of Honda ecu's. I rarely tune stock Honda ecu's. About 80% of my tuning consists of AEM EMS. The other consists of Electromotive TeC-3, Honda ECU Editing, Hondata, Crome, AFC, ECU Flash (Mistsu/Subaru), etc. John Vega and Daniel Church have 80% of the stock Honda ecu tuning in this area. Ontop of that I don't write computer code or anything alike. So however someone or yourself came up with me writing my own version is a mistake. I did make one mistake. I stated that I tuned with eCtune to the few stock ecu cars I have tuned in the past. It's because they were all worried about the Crome editor. This is the only reason I used your editor's name. Huge mistake on my part. I should have had more respect for your program, you and myself most importantly. I've heard conflicting stories of Brotherz Racing contacting you to start tuning with eCtune after my leaving their company.
I will include below why I left and why Jamil Janjua would want to throw me under the bus or even if he has a clue what he is talking about. You can contact me at the number below if you would like to talk to me personally or reply to this e-mail

by phone Jamil stated that there was never any car tuned at Brotherzracing with eCtune. Isn't that weird and you tuner(ex-tuner) did tune?

I have came up with five cars so far but let me ask before we go further.
Were you not PayPal'd AT ALL from Brotherz Racing, Jamil Janjua or Javed
Janjua? I was simply a "tuner" at the shop. Nothing more. I didn't have
control of credit cards or PayPal accounts. I have spoken to one of my
witnesses that was in the meeting. I told him if he didn't remember it was
fine. He stated he does remember our meeting. He stated he does remember me
giving Jamil Janjua your e-mail address. If you need to speak to him his
name is Roberto. His number is 1.813.748.4311 and his e-mail is
robert.mendoza0001@gmail.com if you have any questions for him
Calvin. There will be no need for further action. I'm working with you and I
will help you get your money for the evaluation tunes if you didn't get it.
I've always thought that it was taken care of by Brotherz Racing/Jamil
Janjua. I wouldnt doubt you didn't get it after everything I went through
working for that shop
I did indeed reply to that. I simply apologized to you and left it at that.
But. If a stock Honda ecu tune does come up soon, like I said dont do many
of those, I will either a) be telling the customer I will be using Crome b)
I will simply request the customer purchases a Hondata S300 c) I will refer
him to John Vega if customer doesnt want to do a or b

imma just be that guy and say the wrong person is being attacked. this topic has been brought up but is constantly dodged. Alpha is NOT the owner of brotherz racing. Alpha is not even EMPLOYED buy brotherz racing anymore. why aren't these attacks against the management and owners of said shop? shouldn't they be responsible for the actions of a business, not the employees? thats like saying the cashier at walmart is to blame if a price rings up wrong. i think it's fucking ridiculous that Alpha was publicly called out in this fashion. in all honesty, i see phearable.net as a horrible company now because of their level of maturity with these actions.
An official letter was send today to Brotherzracing..
And this was their answer:
I sorry that we can not be of more help to you in this situation . We do not have any invoices that would assist you considering the fact that we dont label any tunes by software. We want to be helpful to you in any way possible if there is something we can do . The tuner and you had made your own agreements through each other and there is no way for me to track any amounts of cars done on your software . Our invoices just say tuning, weather it be hondata, chrome, afc ,aem is all summed into one category called tuning. Let me know if we can do anything to help you.
I'm awaiting my lawyers response

I think you failed to read the entire post above yours. You should be eating some of your words.......
If you were Calvin, and you knew a shop was tuning eCtune illegally, somehow, and lying to you about it, but telling other shops that you tune with it, and you weren't getting paid after putting your time into it, wouldn't you be pissed?
How about if you were Vega. You're the guy who forked out the money in the first place to be a legally licensed tuner for xxxx in this area, but some other guys decide to undercut you....get the software and tune cars illegally, while charging "license" fees, making nothing but profit and lying to the customer. How'd you like that?
There have been far too many posts from Alpha's "boys" and "fanbois" in this thread, but Vega needs to lay off a bit as well.
Alpha hasn't responded and answered the questions that were the base issues in this.
Granted, Brotherz Racing isn't 100% left out of this one, the tuner has an ETHICAL responsibility as well. We're all trying to make money and survive. We've got to make sure we do it legally like we should be.
Not only that but the fact someone else posted earlier in the thread.....the tuner is not completely ignorant to the situation. The tuner knows whether it's a trial version, a licensed version, etc.....whatever the case may be.
Thanks for posting Calvin. I, and probably the rest of the people here were starting to wonder if you'd ever chime in with the full info.
