they both have pros and cons. it really comes down to you. los of people would go with the b18c because it is a little easier to work with (more room to work with). also the h22 is pretty close to its bore limit. but if you are not going all out race, and just want something fast to play with. i would go with the h22 w/b16 tranny.

h22 w/ b16 tranny, basic bolt and a tune on should put you well into the 13's, if not 12's.
He's Right.......but since your not going NA and wanna go Turbo 400+hp, then its definetly gonna be for drag. Either way ur gonna wanna sleeve it and get forged everything and have a fully built motor so its really up to you. O yeah and +1 on the H2B kit!

like stated above, u will have to do more to get the h22 to fit in, but the weight isnt really a big deal, as stated it only weighs 30 pounds more than the b18. like pubes2942 said though, if u wanna get 400hp your gonna need to fully build the motor, so either way, its up to you

I think the H22 would be more fun but the b18 will be much easier to fit in and much cheaper. Accessories for the b series motors are cheaper and easier to find than H series.

thats the first thing i saw .. lol

sounds like you should stick to a B18 and let the big dogs worry about building the H22s.

it will be alot simpler for you .

i started to peice together a turbo kit for the H22 i had in my sol years ago .. and i realized i could save ALOT more money just building a sohc and turboing it. then again im not looking for a 400 whp street machine (which is damn simple with a sohc might i add). so my goals were easy ...

learn what you want on your car before you say you want it .

Which do you like better, Toby Keith or Snoop Dogg?

I guess it is personal preference, huh?

It is a personal preference! I used to have a JDM H22a with bolt on and my friends stock B18c JDM Type R used to stay with me! Both on tuned! I think the B18c would go good in the hatch but an H22 would be be nice also.... if, youre planning strickly drag racing that is! But, if you want more than straight line you best sticking with the B18c. Its alot more fun plus you get to take your rpm cluster for a loop! Lol.

But thats old nowadays! So just swap a K in the bish and call it mopar killer! Cost a bit more but you wont regret it once its all done!

Youve never seen a JDM Type R motor run have you?? Its totally different from the B18c5

The race I was talking about I had a JDM H22 in my 4th gen prelude with I/H/E and Type S cams vs my friend 97 LS Integra w/ JDM B18c Type R swap. Stock motor he just had an exhaust and he stays with me! I could only beat him by a car! The B18c5 is a Joke compared to a JDM H22. JDM motors are better and will always beat there USDM counterparts by like 3-4 cars in the same shell

H22, and if its for drag, more weight on the front tires would help traction
