i was rotating my tires in my drive way, when i noticed one of my lug nuts was REALLY hard to turn (even after broken loose), so i sprayed some wd40 on it, and kinda worked it back and forth. I got it to come off almost all the way by KINDA forcing it a little and spraying wd40 on it almost constantly. I got it to the end almost, but not it just keeps spinning and isnt coming off. I think the stud is spinning with it. I know how to fix a stud if its broken, but i cant even get the wheel off to get to the studs. i tried pulling on the tire to put pressure on the stud, and no go.

any ideas? fixes? thanks!

im not messing up my SI's!!! even though they all have curbage, i dont want to total them.

im taking it to tire kingdom or whatever tomorrow. i really wanted to fix it myself.

unless you have some serious time and skills like me to sand a rim down after using a mad ass air chizzle!!!!!! know what i mean homey!


i had to air chizzle mine off, and to make it worse it wasnt an SI wheel it was an dexpensive ass LENSO drag wheel.

its the only way to do it, unless you can move the lug nut back and forth and break it off, but the depth of the hole in the SI wheel will probably not let you do that.

you cant disassemble the suspension with the wheel on either cause you cant get to the lower ball joint, i tried

torch it off its super easy to do it happens all the time take a fine tip on a oxy/fuel torch and eat away the lug nut itsreal easy g/l

i took my teg to georges tire in new prot richey when mine did that. they fixed it with no damage to the wheel at all. great service up there

i cant exactly go all the way to new port richey to get a lug nut taken off. ill try tire kingdom or something.

where can i get a new stud?

thanks everyone. im gonna drill the lug nut, and split the stud in half to get the wheel off.
