Ok....turns out my rings are ok. My car just seriously needs some tuning. I'm in the process of saving up some money but I need to get my tranny fixed 1st. After that I'm going to be in the hunt for a better FMU.

no more FMU. Get a nice setup man, this will save you from rebuilding every 2 months. Even if you wanna go cheap get Uberdata, but whoever tuned Chris' dont let him tune yours cause you'll be rebuilding again in 2 months

im trying to get my LS ready for the -T part within the next few weeks so this sucks to hear. is the car ok or are you going to need another rebuild? also what FMU are you using? rising rate? hopefully its not an AFC hack cuz thats what ill be using on my OBDII LS-T project. well good luck with the car, and hopefully itll be back out tearin the streets up again soon. bump for an LS-T owner

If your car is smoking blue alot and has a funky note at idle you cracked your pistons. it has nothing to do with your tunning. OIL is NEVER supposed to come out the exhaust. If your car smokes BLACK then your running rich, that would need some tunning. Since you were runnung a FMU at 15psi with no msd BTM I would say your pistons are SHOT. 15psi + stock timing + FMU = SHOT ENGINE. Convert to obd1 and get tunned correctly and forget about blowin up. Let us know how much oil you burn in a week... 2 quarts?

also an AFC hack will blow your shit up TOOOOOOOOO. timing BLOWS ENGINES, not just fuel. Already tried that, lasted a couple of months at 6psi then ran 8psi for 1 run and cracked the piston ring lands. This was on a LS-T running a big16g(dsm) w/ new 450cc injectors & -2deg. timing(14deg). stock honda pistons have weak ring lands. any detonation under boost will crack them.
