Default Looks Like I'm Joining The Ls-T Crap List Too

Well it must be a bad month for the Ls Turbo Guys. I'm the 3rd person to add to the list of Ls-T's going down. My reason.....piston rings. My car has been idling weird for the past 2 weeks and then I've been getting Cylinder Misfire Codes (check engine codes). Now I'm getting a lot of smoke out and a little oil out off my exhaust. Looks like I'll be pulling out my motor sometime within the month but I don't think I'm going to keep the Ls-T. I'm most likely going to go back to a stock setup since this whole turbo thing has been a pain in the ass since my motor went out 2 months ago.

the piston ring lands crack, the rings don't just go bad because of boost.

Why did it blow? Who tuned it? Setups that are tuned properly, normally do not just blow up. Most setups that fail are either user error or improperly tuned. On a few occasions, things fail, but for you to go through two now...something is wrong.

im assuming fmu and check valves since youre obviously obd2 and throwing misfire codes. stock ignition timing killed your motor...not the turbo

your flex capacitor was probably running low on cohones and gave up. Try a Mr. Fusion and maybe you'll have better luck with that.

My motor still runs and drives fine....its just the funny idle and oil/smoke that's not right.
