i guess those of us who have used them several times with no problems what so ever, were just dreaming or something!

Another cheap solution you may want to consider is a MLS .056 headgasket.

A b16a2 has a c/r of 10.4:1 using a cotmetic mls headgasket it would put you at around 9.6:1 or so which is fine for a boost application

A c/r of 10.4:1 is still safe for boost (.6-.8 bar) it just has to be tuned conservatively.
well i trust your opinion the most, so your saying just go with a thick head gasket and that will lower it enough? my goal is only 250whp if i want more power i know i will have to do more upgrades, so that is planned in the future.

i need to change out all my gaskets anyway and had planned to before the turbo where can i pick up this gasket at and how much do they run for?

250 whp isnt going to be too hard to make on boost regardless of your c/r being 10.4:1 or 9.5:1.

If you want to use a headgasket to lower your c/r.
Order a cotmetic mls headgasket from anyone on the net i.e.http://www.nipponpower.com/engine/ga...ometic_hp.html or Guy at A&E locally etc.

If you do go with a mls headgasket setup, make sure you buy arp head studs.

Good Luck.

its cheaper to do things right the first time.

if the plans call for a boosted application, get some forged pistons and decent rods to handle the additional heat/stress being placed on the bottom end.

jason (60-1ek) is simply making this point...that people will cut corners and try to save money initially...only to spend more in the long run after they melt a piston or throw a rod.

personally, i think you're crazy to build a motor for boost with oem honda pistons...but thats just me.

If you re-read the thread, you will see he is not using OEM pistons....
