Default pistons

will ls pistons fit in a b16 block? or would it have to be ported to a 1.8 l in order for them to fit?

i think you mean bored instead of porting, but B16's, B17's, and B18's all have the same 81mm bore. just the stroke is different.

BULLSHIT! you WILL have piston to valve clearence problems! the size of the intake valves on a LS are 2mm smaller then on a vtec head. your valve pocket will be too small.

ok so they will fit, but they are too long and i need to have them shaved down so that the rods don't push it up too far?

it has nothing to do with valve-lift. thats why there's a difference between them. if they all worked then why would there be vtec pistons and non-vtec pistons? this is common sense shit here. the piston is designed to the head NOT the block for a b-series. thats why when you buy 84mm pistons for a b20/vtec they say B16a on the box. even though b16a pistons are 81mm. I'm done, fuck it.
