thats usually what an air to water is going to cost because you have a heat exchanger, pump, tank, and all the lines to do it.
check out PWR, they have a "barrel" model, that would go about mid way up an intake pipe, all you do is cut that section out and replace it with the PWR part, and they are an air to water type.
jacksons is just a water injector i think

Also the PWR is in the intake tube, which means the air still has to go through the throttle body, the 200 degree+ SC an into the intake manifold before it hits the valves and the cylinder of the motor. So as it passes through these places it is creating and capturing heat, mostly in the manifold and SC where the air is being forced into a sharp turn to make it into the intake runners. everytime the air bends (Friction) it creats heat.
Thus, John at LHT has taken the JRSC intake manifold and made it an intercooler, cooling the air in the plinum (sp?) and cooling it right before the intake runners. John utilizes 2 swiss cores with heat sinks (3 every mm or 75 heat sinks per inch) which is extremely dense and captures ALOT of the heat from the air running IAT's (Intake Air Tempuratures) about 80-100 degrees cooler that no intercooler at all. Cooler air means less likely to detonate and blow the motor.
Also, last time I checked water wasnt combustable.
I'd suggest John's intercooler to anyone. Call John at LHT 727-344-1800, tell him I (Kris Chavez) sent you and he'll hook you up.
BTW, the intercooler conversion on the intake is $1000, and the rest of the parts (heat exchanger, lines, bilge pump) are either $350 or $400.
But I think I gave my opinion and I do run John's intercooler, so, good luck!
Kris

Keep it simple. A small 35 shot, sprayed from 3500rpm+ Would make more then impressive gains. In fact, I would wager to say you would make 50 or more whp from this.
Turbocharged cars pick up 25-90% MORE whp from a shot then N/A cars do. Because of it's cooling effects added in with the oxiginating of the chambers. I believe it was Mark, with the WRX that picked up 90whp from a 35 shot? Turbo-max picked up over 100whp and 120wtq from his 80 dry shot on the infamous Ladder Maxima. It happens all over, and it's an excellent source for that little extra *unf* your car may need.
