im pretty sure as long as you use the gasr oil pump and it is properly assembled and broken in you should have a problem with spinning bearings. LS's are known for this but not as much with a vtec oil pump, so far its been diagnosed that the ls pump just isnt the best piece when we performance guys try to turn 9000rpms, in a 12 year old motor.

but IMO you should be fine, as long as you break it in and check your oil for gods sake

the way i see it he has the best of both worlds . longer stroke of the LS and the gurdling of the GSR block (with the use of apr rod bolts). as an added bonus he doesnt need an external oil feed line.as far as ls spining bearings ist because they have tighter bearing clearences. if you build an lsvtec you should run vtec bearing clearences in the ls block for high rpm use.

First of all, it was a joke to Nick. But since you asked....

There is nothing wrong with spray....when done right. I felt sorry for Nick too. But there are way too many other people out there that just slap it on and go. And yes there is too much bad advice out there. No mods to plugs, fuel delivery, timing, etc. And they make runs back to back to back, for way too long a period of time.

They think that all they need to do is what's included in the kit. And granted, 99% of the time, they'll be OK....for a little while. But then they up the shot, don't make the necessary mods to keep the motor safe, and KABOOM !!! And then wonder why.

So, while you might be able to run your 75 shot all day long, chances are very good that you have made the necessary upgrades that I listed above.

I try to chime in on as many nitrous threads as I see. I don't know why Nick's first motor went bye-bye with juice. It doesn't matter now, it's history. I spent a very long time educating myself re: nitrous before building my system. And I still believe that even simple, low-medium shot kits require some upgrades. But there are always those that don't listen.

well Im glad you clarified whut made me want to do this swap.....
I guess one of the main things to do would be to make sure the machine shop ordered the right bearings to be on the safe side, thanks steve

yea youre right about that.........but one thing to clarify this for everyone is I didnt blow my first motor on the bottle, the radiator hose clamp came off the block and seeing as in my temp gauge was not working i couldnt really tell whut went on, now that my knowledge of hondas has grown I can look for problems like that, I can honestly say by taking 3 1/2 motors apart and buidling 2 I can say there is no reason why I would blow this one up doing something stupid (knock on wood)
Ken give me a call man I gotta ask you somethin about those blades
