The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

Bleh, I'd say an ITR swap simply for the ease of install and maintenance. No messing with the motor, simply bolt it in and you're decently quick right out of the box. But then again...maybe I'm biased.

If you are only planning on running Solo courses you will be better off leaving a single cam in the car. If you want to cage the car and run on a track then I'd say B-series. If you are going to be that serious you would be cornerweighting the car and the extra weight up front would not make much difference, but the extra power would be better for the larger courses. If you watch a SCCA Solo event, you will notice that most of the best Hondas have Stock D-Series motors with minimal upgrades and really nice suspensions.

the LS is a B-series and alot of people are doing that swap so it must be a reason for that. i like that d_series but i want the abilaty to tune it to shit. The suspensions is not going to be a problem for me because i know what i want out of the car and i know what to look for then. and it is going to have a cage in it. i want to beable to take it to the track and then drive it home. But when it comes to the power it is a totaly different story. I am going to go with ITR tranny. i like the way the gears are and that lsd makes a differents to. so i am guessing it is going to be a B-series.

but which one???

What makes you think you can tune a B series any better?

D16 is the best swap.
