ls/vtec with nitrous?
yeah a GSR an LS R/S ratio is about the same, but if you add a deck plate you can pick up a few more frome the GSR than the LS, im actuall thinking of switching from a B16a1, to a GSR, but it takes time, so get a block here, a head there, you know how it goes. i really looked into the LS/Vetec thing for about 6months, but its just easier and more stable to build a GSR or LS turbo, i havent seen a LS/vetec to date that is boosted or running a shot. last more than a year. but i have seen some FULLY built LS/V-tec's put down some good numbers too.
yea i have heard of some too.. but yea i know the gsr is more stable.. i am just going to go with the gsr too..

Dude..It would be cheaper to put a gti-r/bluebird sr20 in your civic and make 400 horsepower than it would be to get that much HP out of a honda engine that wasnt designed for turbo use. You could get 400 or more out of an sr20 on the stock bottom end..

You honestly think all that custom fabrication, and wiring, and so on and so forth, would be cheaper then just simply bolting in a bseries motor???? I believe you are sadly mistaken... I understand hes your friend, but honestly, for you to even think about giving him some way off track info like that and make him think its even remotely cost effective is just insane.....Build a GSR.... That is all....

Question #1: Would this (nitrous) be a good idea on an LS/VTEC?
Answer: It's all about tuning and how the motor was built. Since you've stated that you know it's going to cost a good amount of money, and LS/VTEC makes awesome power. Nitrous will add to the potency of this motor 10 fold. You will love it, and may not even wish to switch to boost. I suggest a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Since I love low end along with tunability.
Question #2: Is there anything on the engine I should replace.
Answer: That's hard to say. Make sure your engine has good compression as is (unless your going to do a rebuild anyway, which you should be doing.). Make sure the timing belt is all happy and new, etc... most of the things you will want to replace will be replaced when you go LS/VTEC. Pretty straight forward.
Question #3: You asked what's the difference between wet and dry shots.
Answer: Dry is JUST nitrous. Wet is nitrous and fuel both added at the same time, creating MUCH more power, and greater reliability. I suggest anything over a 50 shot be wet.
lol. well for being a bit drunk you made sense..well sounds like you know what your saying here.. but i think i know what i am doing.. but if i have any questions i will pm you..
