He should put his car on the dyno and see at what rpm his power falls so he will know when to shift.

putting the pistone at oem diameter would not bump it up that muck but you gotta add .25 mm to the pistons. i made the same mistake when they told me 11.4 i was like how? alot of people use comp calc. and forgets to mark the pistons bigger

just forget about making ur ls any faster go vtec

 

c-speedracing.com calc says 11.13:1. thats with the .25 over psitons and 2 layer headgasket. i dont know how accurate that is but thats what i got. either way, its beyond the point. keep the revs down until u see it will benefit you to increase them
