I want to see some opinions!!
Ok...I want to see what you guys would do...my setup right now is : GSRhead/jdmB16block w/intake,skunk2mani,and exhaust..thats it....as everyone already knows...the b16 has no torque whatsover...and I cant take it anymore..it pisses me off...specially stop and go driving trying to get home in the afternoons....Now once i actually get going and vtec hits in 2nd gear...its great...lots of top end..
I probably will just get a header,camshafts/gears,and vafc eventually....
But lately I have been thinking of getting rid of the b16 block and get a gsr block......
or doing a junkyard turbo setup and just run like 7 psi......
What the hell would you do? Would I really feel a big difference going from b16 to the gsr block? or just hold out and do some more to the setup I have now????
and would 7psi make a huge difference in performance..or is it worth it just to only run 7psi..because I dont plan on "building" it up for higher boost levels...
thanks in advance for any replies

Go with a GSR block and B16 head, flows more air and will lower compression .2 You would be happier with this set up and have the torque you want.

Just get the GSR bottom end, you will retain reliability and you will notice a signifigant diiference, then start saving up and sleeve that B16 to a 1.8, get some low CR pistons, good rods, ARP head bolts etc etc put a nice turbo kit together and have a fast fucking car.

Get a 1.8L block.

Why'd you just quote yourself?
Kelly, unfortunatly, the B series motor is a great setup to start out with. Please stop posting where you have no idea what your talking about.
I don't agree with the GSR block setup, I think a mild turbo setup would be a better solution.
In regards to GSR block/B16 head" Dropping the compression would do nothing but slow you down. The B16 had a great R/S ratio, and it wasn't exactly meant for torque, The B16/B18c head designs are not much difference, and as the "flow" is concerned It's almost zero. I believe the B16 head flows better midrange, and the GSR better up top. IIRC.
