ls1tech.com is the only site you need.
I would reccomend doing the lq4 or 9 stock crank and some good rods and pistons . and a 300 shot.

You can build iron block lsx engines, and they are Wayyyyy cheap. you can pick up the lq block (iron truck lsx blocks for under $800 if you look)

LS1 without a doubt! Aluminum is the way to go. 100 lbs difference from the iron LQ4/LQ9 and the LS1 or LS2 and other iron block motors.

But you cant pick up an alum block too cheap.......no doubt they are lighter, but I think the $$$ saved would make it worth the extra weight.

lt4, bore it out to a 383, and then keep it stock "lookin". stock intake, ported, stock heads, ported and worked etc etc....
that will be a badass, and fun lil truck. gl man

Just to clarify....I am speaking specifically of LEE the original owner of LHT who does the S-10 swap and harnesses and fabrication/mod of custom V8 cars.

I am not talking about the guy also under the name LHT who does the honda turbo fab stuff.

umm... I do the harnessess for the V8 swaps, and I am not associated with Lee at all.

How long ago did you deal with him?
