Did I mention the fastest LS1 based car right now is a SC'd car? Runs 7's at over 170mph..

like i said before, people like tried and true. and i think you meant the magnuson(sp?) supercharger. its a roots blower.

and yes vince, it does feel like a big motor, but owning the laser, i fell in love with the feeling of being forcefully placed into my seat. and there is so much more potential with turbo's in my opinion. less you really need to worry about, like aligned pullies, and rotational weight etc. i mean shit, to spin a vortech T-Trim at 45000RPM (roughly 12psi on a stock LS1 ibelieve) the blower chews up almost 100 crank hp.

I dont remember any lag. I always rev'd and popped the clutch. Remember a supercharger is rpm dependant. Yes a supercharger uses power to make power and turbos are more efficient, but once again how much does a good turbo setup cost? How hard is it to tune a turbo car? Leon send me your email address and I will show you a good video of a Centrifical Blower on a Z06 against a KB car. Thats if your mailbox can take a big enough file..

After seeing the videos i have to agree with vince....i see no lag...the procharger performed as well if not better than the KB cars. Maybe this S/C lag is an issue you had with your setup kenny, (im not putting your setup down, you were very stout) but it doesnt seem to be an issue with the procharger on a vette....AWSOME VIDEOS VINCE.....i think i am pretty much sold on the S/C setup with A and A....any final input? OH BTW what is the weight of a vette...I am talking about a glass top c5 coupe..not frc

Glad you like the vids.. I dont know the exact weight of a glass top C5, but I think it is 3300lbs or less. I personally like FRC's. They are 7/10's Z06 and they are more rare. Just make sure you find a good installer and tuner.

well shit vince, send the vids to me aswell..gotta see it for myself. is the boost gauge visible?

as for my setup, i lose about 2psi on the shift, just due to the engine rpms and shiftpoints.
