Default Single Turbo C5?

Hey are there any bolt on kits for the c5 vette that run a single turbo setup?

Also, what is everyones preference on the c5 vette; spray, supercharger, or turbo?

Please let me know.........

There was one kit(Cerra Racing), but that company went out of business. You mainly see superchargers on C5's, but there are twin turbo kits out there and spray is plentiful.

i know you are all motor, but if i was going to build a c5 what would you recommend. I was thinking about going with some heads and cam package and a little spray. I have pretty much forgotten about the turbo kit, but a supercharger still seems ok, what do you think?

What are your goals? How fast do you want to go?

As far as racing goes, i dont have a goal. I am not trying to beat anyone out there. Its more for personal enjoyment. Thats why the more i think about it, the more i want to keep the car N/A but go with some N2o for those "special encounters". My goal is a simple 500rwhp. What would it take to get there. I also want this to be reliable as i am avoiding another BLOWN-UP motor. So i was thinking a head-cam package, and maybe a 150-200 shot. But what would i need to do about Fuel Managment? Lemme know and thanks for all your help, you have one bad vette and i can only hope to get that fast....

C5's have good fuel system stock. If you go H/C package and want to keep it simple you just need to upgrade injectors to 30#'s and run a small dry shot to get 500rwhp. If you want 500rwhp all the time I would go with a nice supercharger combo and a mild cam and you will have 550rwhp plus all the time. Also things depend on which C5 you are going to get. A coupe weighs more than FRC's and convertibles. I know.. I said convertibles, but you will find the convertibles are less than the coupes by like 30 to 40lbs because less metal and glass. Now if you go with a supercharger you will need to upgrade the fuel system to a Racetronix fuel system with a Kenne Bell Boost a pump which is only 550 bucks. The only supercharger system I would purchase is A&A Corvettes in California.

500rwhp....bolt-ons and a juggernaut cam should put you pretty close. bolt-ons and a T-rex is good for about 450rwhp

Yes, i noticed that they have a great setup and price, but which would you consider more reliable....the supercharger or the H/C/N2O? I know that the supercharger will always put constant strain on the motor and the N2o wont, but what will have a more sever long term affect? Also, which one has more driveablity. Thanks again for the info, i just want to make the most educated purchase....

The supercharger will have the most driveability IMHO.

cost effective and not going to be building the bottom end....i say stay away from FI. h/c and a little shot will be what you want, and the most streetable combo you can put together. some nice heads, a relatively tame cam, and juice to put you where you wanna be.
