You lost me...you mean the stock Y pipe?

I'll replace that when I do headers...which is down the road...along with cam etc.

Correct. I know I can lose you on the streets but I thought that was pretty simple. LOL. When are you going to do the headers and the cam? I am going to try to get my car to them real quick.

Don't know...it'll be awhile, few months atleast.

I'd like to save up enough to do it all at once; headers, y pipe, cam, any necessary valvetrain stuff and the tune. That's probably around 2K atleast right there.

Well I should have the new cam, dual stage, new headers by June 10th and then we are going to go with a Vortech. Want to be around 5-600 before NAWS

Sweet...if you're shooting for 500-600 on just the blower and cam...you might need to do the heads. But you might get there with that.

Now if you add nitrous, w/ the blower, that's going to be pretty rough on the stock shortblock...might go kablooey. But it'll be fun while it lasts!

LOL...don't get ahead of yourself.

If it was as esay as slapping on a blower and NAWS...everyone would have a 9 sec car.

There's alot of trial and error...tuning, beaking shit, more tuning etc. It takes time.

I'm assuming when you say "building" you're going to replace the shortblock...if not, I don't think it will last long with 8 lbs of boost and a 125 shot or whatever. After that, you'll probably break the rearend if you try to get it to hook.

I wish you luck though. I think you'll be having the right people do the work...so that's a good start.

We are going to make it 450 at the wheels NA, then Slap on the Blower and shoot for high 10s, basically the same set up they put on another LS1 that worked out. I plan on replacing the motor more than once over the next year.

450 rwhp, with the stock heads, cam only on a AT car will be difficult, but not impossible.

Cam, blower and bolt-ons should get high-10s. You might get lucky and have the rearend hold together...but you might want to think about a 12 bolt.

LOL...and yes, it's good you plan on replacing the stock shortblock at some point.

I think that once I get my car to a high ten, I will leave it alone and buy a C5 and build it to about 450 and leave it as my every day driver. That is what I really want.
